Created between 1510 and 1520, this masterpiece captures the essence of compassion and divine intervention. The image depicts Saint Filippo Benizzi, an Italian saint known for his miracles, healing a destitute beggar. The artist behind this engraving skillfully emulates the style of Andrea del Sarto, one of the leading painters of the High Renaissance period.
