EDITORS COMMENTS
This print captures the timeless beauty of Boscobel House, nestled in the heart of Staffordshire. With its rich historical significance and stunning architectural design, this image showcases the true essence of this remarkable stately home. Taken from the Mount, a vantage point that offers an enchanting view of the entire estate, Mike Hesketh-Roberts skillfully portrays Boscobel House in all its glory. The elegant white facade stands proudly against a backdrop of lush greenery, creating a harmonious blend between nature and man-made splendor. Steeped in Stuart history, Boscobel House holds secrets and tales from centuries past. It was within these very walls that King Charles II sought refuge during his escape after defeat at the Battle of Worcester in 1651. This photograph serves as a visual testament to those extraordinary events that unfolded within these hallowed grounds. The meticulously maintained gardens surrounding the house add an extra layer of charm to this already picturesque scene. Delicate flowers bloom with vibrant colors while neatly trimmed hedges create pathways leading to hidden corners waiting to be explored. Mike Hesketh-Roberts' expert eye for detail has captured not just an image but also the essence and spirit that make Boscobel House so special. This print is not only a beautiful piece of art but also a window into history, inviting viewers to step back in time and immerse themselves in its grandeur and tranquility
