EDITORS COMMENTS
This print showcases the mesmerizing masterpiece of Aert van der Neer, titled "River view: Evening". The painting, captured at Vitoria in 1813 and now housed in APSLEY HOUSE, London, is a true testament to the artist's incredible talent. As we gaze upon this Dutch landscape, we are transported back in time to a serene dusk setting. The tranquil river flows gently through the scene, reflecting the soft hues of the fading daylight. A small boat glides peacefully along its surface, adding an element of movement and life to the otherwise still composition.
