Born as Virginia Stephen in 1882, she emerged as a leading figure within London's literary circles and became an esteemed member of the renowned Bloomsbury group. Despite her immense talent and success in the literary world, Woolf battled numerous nervous breakdowns throughout her life. In this portrait captured by an unknown creator but preserved by The Print Collector, we see Woolf's face exuding both strength and vulnerability. Her piercing gaze suggests a deep intellect while also hinting at the inner turmoil that plagued her existence. Woolf's contributions to literature are immeasurable.
