EDITORS COMMENTS
This print takes us back to the bustling streets of Connaught Place in 1876. The creator of this remarkable image remains unknown, but their ability to capture the essence of this historic location is undeniable. Connaught Place, situated in Bayswater, London, holds a significant place in history as it was once home to Lord Randolph Churchill from 1883-1892. A blue plaque proudly adorns number 2, marking his residence during that time. The photograph showcases the architectural beauty of the buildings lining Connaught Place. Balconies grace the facades while lampposts illuminate the lane below. Horse-drawn carriages pass by on the avenue, adding an old-world charm to this scene frozen in time.
