The Arrest of Cardinal Wolsey, 1902. Wolsey (c1475-1530), was an English statesman and a cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church. He was Henry VIIIs most important government minister and the most powerful person in England, besides the King, for many years. Over time Wolsey became unpopular with the King and his court and eventually Wolsey was arrested near York in November 1530 and accused of treason. He died on 29th November of the same year at Leicester on his journey south to face trial. After a work by Patten Wilson (1869-1934). From A Childs History of England by Charles Dickens [J. M. Environmentally and ozone friendly, the Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang. Biodegradable and made with non-chlorinated gases (no toxic fumes) it is efficient; producing 100 tons of polystyrene can save 300 tons of trees! Prints are glazed with lightweight, shatterproof, optical clarity acrylic (providing the same general protection from the environment as glass). The back is stapled hardboard with a sawtooth hanger attached.
