The illustration, titled "The Lucky Rich" captures the essence of American upper-class society during the Gilded Age. In this scene, we witness an opulent dinner party unfolding within a grand interior. The attention to detail is remarkable as Gibson masterfully depicts every element of this luxurious setting. A magnificent chandelier illuminates the room while elegantly dressed men engage in conversation around a lavishly set table. Gibson's illustration not only showcases his artistic prowess but also provides valuable insights into the social dynamics of turn-of-the-century America.
