EDITORS COMMENTS
This print takes us back to the vibrant streets of New York City in 1916. The advertisement for Wallach Brothers clothier showcases two dapper golfers, exuding elegance and style. These men are not just playing a game; they are making a statement. Dressed in their finest knicker suits, complete with matching caps and polished golf clubs, these gentlemen epitomize the early 20th-century American fashion. With Manhattan's iconic skyline as their backdrop, they proudly represent the spirit of this bustling metropolis. The ad speaks volumes about the era's advertising techniques - simple yet effective. It captures the attention of any golf lover or fashion enthusiast passing by an American magazine stand. Wallach Brothers' reputation as a renowned haberdasher is reinforced through this striking visual display.
