LEEs SURRENDER 1865 - A Symbol of Unity and Peace in the Midst of Turmoil

EDITORS COMMENTS
. This print captures a pivotal moment in American history, depicting the historic surrender of General Robert E. Lee to General Ulysses S. Grant at Appomattox Court House on April 9,1865. Reproduced from an exquisite painting by Thomas Nast, this image showcases the significance of unity and reconciliation during a time marked by division and conflict.
