EDITORS COMMENTS
This print takes us back to the late 19th century, capturing a moment in time at the iconic Rotunda Lecture Hall in Liverpool. Formerly known as the Picton Reading Room, this architectural gem on William Brown Street stands tall and proud amidst its surroundings. The image showcases the grandeur of the building's exterior, with its intricate details and imposing presence. In this snapshot from circa 1890, we see a bustling street scene unfolding before our eyes. A medium-sized group of men can be seen congregating outside the lecture hall, engrossed in conversation or perhaps awaiting an event inside.
