This print takes us back in time to the Jamestown Festival Park in Virginia, USA, circa 1965. The image showcases meticulously reconstructed houses that transport us to the site of the first English settlement on the North American mainland. Established in 1607 and painstakingly rebuilt in 1957, Jamestown holds a significant place in history. The focal point of this photograph is a charming cottage with a thatched roof, exuding an air of rustic beauty amidst its idyllic surroundings. Captured by photographer Dick Smith from Hulton Archive/Getty Images, this snapshot perfectly encapsulates the essence of early American culture and heritage. As we gaze upon this scene, we are transported to a quaint street within this historical town. The absence of people allows us to appreciate the architecture and design elements that define this era.
