EDITORS COMMENTS
This print takes us back in time to the year 1896, immersing us in the enchanting world of nature captured within the pages of "Lloyds Natural History - A Hand Book to the Birds of Great Britain" by R. Bowlder Sharp. The retro styling and antique feel of this engraved image transport us to a bygone era, where intricate etchings were used to bring wildlife illustrations to life. In this particular engraving, we are introduced to a majestic honey buzzard, a bird of prey belonging to the Accipitridae family. Its sharp claws and focused gaze reveal its prowess as a hunter, reminding us of the raw power and elegance found in nature's carnivores. The artist skillfully captures every detail with precision, showcasing both the delicate features and fierce determination that define this magnificent creature. As we observe this vertical composition, it becomes evident that hunting is an integral part of its existence; it is through these primal instincts that it thrives.
