EDITORS COMMENTS
In this photograph captured by H. F. Davis, we are transported back to the 1920s in England, where two elegant ladies take center stage at the Horsham and Crawley Point to Point steeplechase at Dial Post near East Grinstead. Miss Yoskyl and Miss Nancy Pearson exude an air of sophistication as they stand beside a sleek saloon car, their eyes fixed on the thrilling race about to unfold before them. Dressed impeccably in fashionable attire of the era, these lady spectators epitomize grace and poise. Their stylish hats adorned with delicate feathers add a touch of glamour to their ensemble, while their expressions reveal a sense of excitement mixed with anticipation for what lies ahead. The landscape surrounding them sets the scene perfectly - lush green fields stretching into the distance create a picturesque backdrop against which this momentous event takes place. The vintage vehicle parked beside them hints at both luxury and adventure, symbolizing an era when automobile travel was still considered novel. This print from Fine Art Storehouse not only captures a specific moment in time but also serves as a visual testament to the enduring allure of classic style and timeless elegance. It is an invitation for us to step into history's embrace and witness firsthand how even amidst fast-paced races or any other grand events, true refinement never goes out of fashion.
