Wells' renowned book, "The Outline of History" this print showcases early stone implements that were crucial to their survival. The image transports us back thousands of years, revealing the tools used during the Paleolithic, Chellan Age, Mousterian Age, and Reindeer Age. Each implement tells a story of human evolution and ingenuity as we see flint rocks transformed into piercers, scrapers, and other essential tools. The intricate details depicted in this lithograph highlight the craftsmanship employed by these early humans. The precision with which they shaped each tool is awe-inspiring; it serves as a testament to their resourcefulness and adaptability in an unforgiving environment. As we gaze upon this historical artifact, we are reminded of our shared ancestry with these ancient beings who roamed the Earth long before civilization took hold.
