This powerful depiction transports us back to the Napoleonic era, specifically to the intense clash that took place on the banks of the Dnieper River. The painting showcases the chaos and devastation of war as flames engulf buildings in the background, casting an eerie glow over the scene. In this historical moment, we witness Barclay de Tolly's army fiercely defending against Napoleon Bonaparte's relentless attack.
