EDITORS COMMENTS
The Shahzada, accompanied by his royal entourage, observes in awe as a spirited Highland Dance unfolds before him at the bustling Fairfield Ship-Building Yard in Glasgow. This engraving, created by an English School artist in the 19th century, captures a momentous occasion when Scottish tradition and regal grandeur converged. The Shahzada's visit to this renowned shipyard was met with great anticipation and excitement from both workers and locals alike. As he stood on the sidelines, his eyes fixated on the dancers who energetically weaved their way through intricate steps and twirls. The vibrant kilts of the performers swirled around them as they showcased their remarkable skill and agility.
