EDITORS COMMENTS
Great moment in Everton Football Club history captured in this iconic photo print: Tim Cahill's stunning goal at St James Park on September 24, 2006, securing a hard-fought victory for Everton over Newcastle United in the FA Barclays Premiership. The Australian international's powerful header from a corner kick, expertly placed past the Newcastle goalkeeper, sent the Everton fans into raptures and marked the beginning of a memorable season for the Toffees. The atmosphere at St James Park was electric, with both sets of fans creating a cacophony of noise as the two teams battled it out on the pitch. Everton, under the management of David Moyes, had started the season strongly but were facing a tough test against a Newcastle side determined to make an impression at home. As the first half drew to a close, Everton won a corner kick. The ball was swung in by Leighton Baines, finding Cahill unmarked at the far post. With a deft flick of his head, the Everton number 7 sent the ball flying past the outstretched hand of Shay Given and into the back of the net. The away end erupted in jubilation as Cahill celebrated with his teammates, the fans going wild as they reveled in their side's hard-earned lead. This goal would prove to be a turning point in the season for Everton, kick-starting a run of form that saw them challenge for a place in Europe. The memory of Cahill's goal at St James Park remains etched in the minds of Evertonians, a testament to the passion, determination, and skill of their team. This photo print, taken by the talented photographer Lees mith, captures the essence of that moment, the raw emotion and excitement of football at its finest. A must-have for any Everton fan, this print is a reminder of a glorious moment in the club's history.
