EDITORS COMMENTS
In the heart of Bears Ears National Monument in Utah, lies the enigmatic Fallen Roof House, a relic of the ancient Anasazi culture nestled among the sandstone formations of Cedar Mesa. This breathtaking image captured by Alan Majchrowicz invites us to step back in time and explore the rich history of this remarkable place. The Fallen Roof House, with its granary precariously balanced on the edge of a cliff, stands as a testament to the ingenuity and resilience of the Anasazi people who once called this arid landscape home. The blue and orange hues of the sedimentary rock contrast beautifully with the brown slickrock and the green vegetation, creating a scene that is both otherworldly and familiar. The morning sun casts a warm glow over the scene, illuminating the intricate details of the pueblo ruins and highlighting the textures of the sandstone formations. The canyon stretches out before us, leading the eye to the distant horizon and the vast expanse of the desert.
