Roberti Collection

Roberti is a genus of Nesomyidae mammals, a family of rodents found in Africa and Madagascar, and are small, mouse-like animals with long tails and short legs. They have large eyes and ears, which help them to detect predators. Roberti species feed on seeds, fruits, insects, and other small animals. They live in burrows or nests made from grasses or leaves. The most common species is the African Roberti (Robertia olivacea), which lives in savannas and woodlands throughout sub-Saharan Africa. Other species include the Malagasy Roberti (Robertia grandis) found only on Madagascar, as well as several others found in different parts of Africa.
