Heath Mouse Collection

Heath Mouse (Muridae Mammalia) is a small rodent native to Europe and parts of Asia, and is a member of the family Muridae, which includes rats and mice, grayish-brown coat with white underparts, and its tail is usually shorter than its body. Its diet consists mainly of seeds, nuts, fruits, insects and other small invertebrates. It lives in grasslands and heaths where it builds nests in burrows or crevices among rocks or roots. The Heath Mouse is active during the day but can also be seen at night when it forages for food, and is an important part of the ecosystem as it helps to disperse seeds from plants that benefit other wildlife species such as birds and butterflies.
