Funereus Collection

Funereus is a genus of hylobatidae mammals, commonly known as gibbons, and are found in the tropical forests of Southeast Asia, from India to Indonesia. Funereus gibbons have long arms and legs that allow them to swing through the trees with ease. They also have a distinctive black fur with white patches on their faces and hands. Gibbons are highly social animals that live in family groups consisting of an adult pair and their offspring. They communicate using loud calls which can be heard up to two kilometers away, allowing them to keep track of each other's location in the dense forest canopy. Funereus gibbons feed mainly on fruit, but also eat leaves, flowers, insects and small vertebrates like birds or lizards when available. As they are arboreal creatures they rarely come down to ground level except for drinking water or crossing rivers during seasonal migrations between different areas of forest habitat.
