Harp Seal Collection

The Harp Seal is a species of mammal that lives in the North Atlantic and Arctic Oceans, and is a medium-sized seal with a black fur coat, white patches on its face, and large black eyes. The Harp Seal has long front flippers that help it to swim quickly in the water. Its diet consists mainly of fish and crustaceans, which it catches using its sensitive whiskers. They are dive up to 600 meters deep in search of food. It also uses its thick fur coat to keep warm in cold temperatures. During breeding season, the Harp Seal congregates on ice floes off the coasts of Canada and Greenland for mating purposes before returning to their individual feeding grounds for most of the year. This species is currently classified as "Least Concern" by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
