Louis Dalrymple Acrylic Blox Collection

Louis Dalrymple is an American comic book artist, best known for his work on the comic strip "Dream of the Rarebit Fiend" and the early "Yellow Kid" comics. He was born in 1866 in New York City and began his career as a newspaper cartoonist at age 14. He was one of the founding members of what would become known as the 'Yellow Kid' group, which included artists such as Richard Outcault, George Luks, and Winsor McCay. His work on Dream of the Rarebit Fiend gained him recognition and he went on to create other popular strips such as The Newlyweds, The Suburbanite, and The Country Cousin. Throughout his career he worked with many publishers including Hearst Publications, William Randolph Hearst's King Features Syndicate, Joseph Pulitzer's New York World Sunday Magazine and others. He died in 1941 after a long career that spanned over 50 years.
