Demoiselle Crane Acrylic Blox Collection

The Demoiselle Crane (Anthropoides virgo) is a species of crane belonging to the Gruiformes family, and is native to Eurasia, from western Europe eastwards through Asia to western China and Mongolia, medium-sized bird, with an overall length of about 90 cm and a wingspan of up to 1.5 m. Its plumage is mainly grey-brown with white patches on its wings and tail, while its head and neck are white with black markings on the crown, face and throat and has long legs that are usually pinkish in coloration. The Demoiselle Crane feeds mainly on insects such as grasshoppers, beetles and crickets as well as berries, seeds and other plant material found in its habitat. During breeding season it performs elaborate courtship displays involving leaps into the air accompanied by loud calls from both sexes.
