Step back in time with this print of the Ford Railcar set at Tenterden Town Station, taken around 1937. Despite the closure of the line in 1961, the spirit of this historic railway lives on. In February 1974, the first two miles of track were reopened as the preserved Kent & East Sussex Railway, offering visitors a chance to experience a bygone era. The dedication and passion for preserving history led to further track relaying efforts, ultimately reaching Bodiam - an impressive eight-mile distance - in 1990. Remarkably, this achievement occurred exactly one hundred years after the line's initial opening.
