An American boy heir to the Austrian throne. From Reno, Nevada, 12 year old Harvey
An American boy heir to the Austrian throne. From Reno, Nevada, 12 year old Harvey Marois Richard Leon George Burrows is revealed as a potential candidate to the throne of Austria - but not if his American father can help it. The strange story has its origins in the fact that his mother, Mrs Burrows, was Maria Magdelina, the daughter of the late Prince Johann of Austria, who was the Archduke of Albrecht, and the brother of Emperor Franz Joseph. Now John Burrows, father of the boy and a divorce attorney in Reno, reveals that the Monarchist Party in Austria wants to take young Harvey back to Austria and run him for Emperor against Otto, alleged pretender to the throne. In this photograph Harvey Burrows practices with an axe on a piece of wood what he could do to the Austrian throne.

EDITORS COMMENTS
In this photograph, we catch a glimpse of 12-year-old Harvey Marois Richard Leon George Burrows, an American boy who unexpectedly finds himself at the center of a royal controversy. Hailing from Reno, Nevada, Harvey is revealed as a potential candidate for the Austrian throne - much to his father's dismay. The intriguing tale begins with Harvey's mother, Mrs. Burrows, who happens to be Maria Magdelina, daughter of the late Prince Johann of Austria. As the Archduke of Albrecht and brother to Emperor Franz Joseph, Prince Johann's lineage carries significant weight in Austria's monarchy. John Burrows, Harvey's American father and a divorce attorney by profession, discloses that the Monarchist Party in Austria seeks to bring young Harvey back to his ancestral land and groom him as their contender against Otto – an alleged pretender to the throne. In this snapshot frozen in time on July 13th, 1931; we witness young Harvey honing his skills with an axe on a piece of wood. Perhaps symbolizing his determination or showcasing what he could potentially do if given power over the Austrian throne. With its monochrome aesthetic lending an air of nostalgia and mystery to the image; it captures not only Harvey’s youthful innocence but also hints at the complexities surrounding his unexpected path towards royalty.
