September 21, 2010 - A U.S. Army grenadier scans a nearby ridgeline at a mountaintop observation post in eastern Afghanistans Kunar Province, as mortar shells rain down against an enemy sniper. The unit and Afghan National Army troops visited Observation Post Rocky to help prepare for transferring the base from the Afghan National Police to the Afghan National Army (ANA) by the end of October. The handover will allow more police officers to be placed at stations closer to more heavily populated areas. A sniper fired numerous shots at the ISAF and ANA during the visit, but no troops were injured in the attack
