Star map, 19th century. This star map shows the stars of the northern hemisphere. It was published by the German astronomer Johann Elert Bode (1747- 1826), in 1805. The map shows the mythical figures that are used to represent the constellations. The key at lower right indicates the relative brightness of the stars. This is Plate I of Vorstellung der Gestirne auf XXXIV Tafeln (J.E. Bode, Berlin, 1805)
