Southampton Football Club, commonly known as The Saints, is an English professional football club based in Southampton, Hampshire. Founded in 1885 as St. Mary's YMA, they currently compete in the Premier League and have spent most of their history in the top two divisions of English football. They have won the FA Cup once and their highest-ever league finish was second place in the First Division in 1983–84.
