They have a long-standing rivalry with Birmingham City as well as other local teams such as West Bromwich Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers. In recent years they have been competing for promotion back to the Premier League after being relegated from it in 2016. They currently play in the Championship league where they hope to gain promotion back to the top flight of English football soon.
