Ipswich Town Football Club is an English professional association football club based in Ipswich, Suffolk. Founded in 1878, they currently compete in the Championship, the second tier of English football. They have won the English league title once and have twice been runners-up and has competed in all three European club competitions and has reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Cup on two occasions. The team's traditional home colours are blue and white shirts with white shorts and socks. The club's nickname is "The Tractor Boys" due to their long association with agricultural machinery manufacturer JCB which sponsors their home kit since 2008 and can one of only four clubs to have played continuously in England's top division since its formation in 1888–89, along with Aston Villa, Everton and Liverpool.
