Russian ISS module rockets, artwork

Russian ISS module rockets, cutaway artwork. Both Zvezda (the Service Module, left) and the Zarya (the Functional Cargo Block, FGB) are modules of the International Space Station (ISS). Both are Russian and were launched with Proton-K rockets, in these configurations. The 19-ton modules are shown in cutaway details of the rocket fairings. Zvezda was launched on 12 July 2000, and Zarya on 20 November 1998. The rockets carried Cyrillic text for Proton and the module names, as well as logos and national flags for NASA and Roscosmos (US and Russian space agencies). The USA contributed to the funding of Zarya

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print showcases the intricate artwork of the Russian ISS module rockets, providing a mesmerizing cutaway view. The two modules depicted are Zvezda, also known as the Service Module (left), and Zarya, referred to as the Functional Cargo Block (FGB). Both modules play crucial roles in the International Space Station (ISS) and were launched using Proton-K rockets. The detailed cutaway reveals the inner workings of these 19-ton modules within their rocket fairings. Notably, Cyrillic text adorns both Proton and module names while logos and national flags representing NASA and Roscosmos proudly display their collaboration between US and Russian space agencies. It is worth mentioning that funding for Zarya was contributed by the United States. Set against a pristine white background, this engineering illustration beautifully captures the essence of Russian technology in space exploration. The duo of rockets symbolizes a remarkable partnership between nations on an extraordinary mission beyond Earth's boundaries. With references to various time periods such as 20th century launch dates (Zarya - November 20,1998; Zvezda - July 12,2000) and technological advancements spanning into the present day (21st century), this artwork represents humanity's continuous pursuit of knowledge through space flight. Overall, this stunning piece from Science Photo Library serves as a testament to mankind's ingenuity in designing complex rocketry systems like Proton-K to propel essential ISS modules towards new frontiers.
