Oil barrels

Oil barrels. Oil products are obtained from crude oil, which is oil from the ground before it has been refined. It contains a varied mixture of hydrocarbons, and is heated to separate it into parts called fractions. Fractions obtained from crude oil include bitumen, fuel oil, lubricating oils, diesel, jet fuel, petrol, and petroleum gases. The fractions are used as aircraft, motor vehicle and heating fuels, as industrial fuels and lubricants, and to make products such as plastics in the chemical industry. These barrels carry the logos of ExxonMobil, Royal Dutch Shell, and BP, three of the worlds largest oil companies

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print showcases a collection of oil barrels, each carrying the distinctive logos of three global giants in the energy industry: ExxonMobil, Royal Dutch Shell, and BP. These barrels symbolize the vital link between crude oil and its diverse range of refined products that power our modern world. Derived from natural resources deep within the Earth's crust, crude oil is an unrefined substance consisting of various hydrocarbons. Through a process known as refining, this raw material is heated to separate it into different fractions. Among these fractions are essential components like bitumen, fuel oil, lubricating oils, diesel, jet fuel, petrol (gasoline), and petroleum gases. These valuable fractions serve multiple purposes across numerous sectors. They function as fuels for aircrafts and motor vehicles while also providing heating solutions for homes and industries alike. Additionally, they play a crucial role in manufacturing plastics within the chemical industry. The presence of these iconic logos on the barrels highlights the significant contributions made by ExxonMobil, Royal Dutch Shell, and BP – three prominent players in today's global energy landscape. Their expertise in extracting fossil fuels from wells combined with their advanced refineries enables them to meet society's growing demand for energy efficiently. This mesmerizing image serves as a reminder of how interconnected we are with the vast network that powers our daily lives – an intricate web woven by companies such as ExxonMobil, Royal Dutch Shell, and BP.
