Allosaurus Maximus
Allosaurus Maximus, artwork. This species of Allosaurus may have been as big as a tyrannosaurus rex. As recorded remains have been fragmentary, some palaeontologists refer to it as Allosaurus maximus while others have called it Saurophaganax maximus. The dinosaur weighed about 4.5 tons and reached from 12-14 metres in length. It inhabited present day North America around 145-150 million years ago (late Jurassic period)
