Captured in the midst of a nation at war, this remarkable print showcases the resilience and determination of the women who served in the First World War Women's Land Army. Taken in 1917 at Tregavethan Farm, Truro, Cornwall, it depicts a group of these brave women gathered together with their fellow comrades. Standing proudly in front of a hay cart is Mr Alfred Martin, owner of Tregavethan Farm, holding onto his loyal dog's paw.
