Richard Britton was a legendary motorcycle racer who left an indelible mark on the world of motorsports. Born with a need for speed, Britton's passion for racing led him to achieve numerous triumphs throughout his career. In 1998, riding for Schimell Honda, Britton showcased his exceptional skills at the Senior TT race. With sheer determination and unwavering focus, he conquered the challenging course and emerged victorious in this prestigious event. Three years later, in 2003, Britton switched gears and joined Suzuki for the Formula 1 TT. Pushing himself to new limits, he fearlessly maneuvered through every twist and turn of the track, leaving spectators in awe of his talent. Teaming up with Nick Jefferies on a Honda bike in 2002 at the Junior 600 TT race proved to be another memorable moment for Britton. Together they formed an unstoppable force that dominated their rivals from start to finish. The year 2005 saw Britton once again proving his mettle as he competed in the Superbike TT aboard a Honda machine. His unparalleled skill set enabled him to conquer any obstacle that came his way during this grueling competition. Throughout his career, Richard Britton displayed versatility by excelling across various categories. In 2000's Production TT race riding for Schimmel Yamaha or Formula One TT representing Schimmel Honda alongside Blair Degerholm and Bruce Anstey on Yamaha bikes; each time showcasing why he was considered one of the best racers of his generation. Britton's success continued into other events such as winning the Junior TT race in 2000 while representing Schimmel Yamaha or securing podium finishes at Lightweight 400 TT races both in 2002 (riding O Kane Kawasaki) and again two years later (O Kane Suzuki).
