Caesars Choice, SECR poster, 1913

Poster produced for South Eastern & Chatham Railway (SECR) promoting rail services to the breezy Kent coast. The poster shows the arrival of Julius Caesar at Kent in 43 AD. Roman soldiers are shown alighting from their ship and walking in the shallow water of the Channel towards the coast of Kent to claim Britain for the Roman Empire.
