Mayhem on the streets of Monaco: Pedro Lamy's Minardi M195B Ford takes a dramatic tumble during the 1996 Monaco Grand Prix. As marshals scramble to recover his car, Lamy is left climbing over the barrier in a bid to get back into action. The incident occurred on lap 10 of the race, as drivers navigated the treacherous streets of Monte Carlo's iconic Circuit de Monaco. The Portuguese driver had been running towards the back of the pack before losing control and crashing out. Despite his misfortune, Lamy would go on to finish a respectable 14th place in what was ultimately a chaotic and unpredictable race won by Olivier Panis. This photo captures the intensity and drama that unfolded during this thrilling event, as marshals worked tirelessly to clear up the wreckage and allow racing to resume.
