Story : Mrs F Hadden and family, of Somers Road, Southsea, Hampshire, owe their lives to this dog.
Chum awakened the family when the house was on fire, but when rescued returned to the house to find her mistress, who had already left the premises. She was later found by firemen who rescued her, in Mrs Haddens bedroom, patiently waiting. As a result of this she is now blind in one eye.
