He is visiting his birth place, Bristol, to see his mother who is in a nursing home in Clifton, Bristol, Avon and North Somerset. Cary said, " Shes getting on a bit in years now, then I suppose so am I". He continued, " I think I shall take a visit to the local panto or the Bristol Old Vic, and maybe have a cake with my relatives".
Cary is pictured standing high up on the banks of the Avon Gorge and River Avon, with the Clifton Suspension Bridge in the background, which was designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel and opened in 1864
Cary Grant was an English-born American actor, known as one of classic Hollywoods definitive leading men. He was known for his transatlantic accent, debonair demeanor, light-hearted approach to acting, and sense of comic timing.
