Turkey Time at Turkey Street - A Festive Feast for All

EDITORS COMMENTS
. In this photo print, taken on the 15th of December 1965 by Harlow from Memory Lane Prints, we are transported back in time to witness a truly unique and heartwarming event. As the clock struck 11.44am at Liverpool Street Station, an extraordinary sight unfolded before our eyes. Amidst the bustling platform, a chef named Mr Pedro Carol stood tall in his splendid attire, holding a magnificent 20lb turkey garnished on a silver platter. By his side was none other than Santa Claus himself, spreading joy and merriment to all who crossed their path. Led by the Station Master donning his distinguished top hat, this merry party embarked on a short journey towards their destination - Turkey Street Station. Excitement filled the air as local children eagerly awaited their arrival. Crossing over a quaint footbridge that spanned across a gentle stream, Chef Pedro Carol and Father Christmas were greeted with open arms by delighted youngsters. Laughter echoed through the village as they paraded together towards The Turkey pub. Once inside its cozy walls, these generous souls sliced up the succulent birds and served them to grateful locals. It was an occasion where community spirit thrived and festive cheer flourished. This remarkable photograph captures not only a moment frozen in time but also serves as a reminder of how acts of kindness can bring people together during this special season.
