Relatives toast Mr Frederick Braund, of Fixby, at his 100th birthday celebration.
His is pictured with great grandsons Michael Watson, three and six-week- old James.
Mr Braund lived in Essex all his life before coming to Huddersfield in 1984 when he
moved in with his son, Douglas, of Cumberland Avenue.
During his working life, Mr Braund worked in the drapery trade, designing display material.
But one of his major interests was violin making. In this time, Mr Braund made about 50 of the instruments, his last at the age of 92!
One of the highlights of his life came in 1978, when he met Yehudi Menuhin who
was given a concert at Huddersfield Town Hall. 7th July 1990

Relatives raise a toast to Mr Frederick Braund, of Fixby, as he celebrates his remarkable 100th birthday.
