Filming of the episode " A Rolls By Any other Name" in the second series of the Thames television situation comedy Bless This House starring Sid James as Sid Abbott and Diana Coupland as his wife Jean.
In the episode which was filmed along Clarence Avenue in New Malden, Sid borrowed his boss Rolls Royce for a try out when he came across a " Ban The Car" demonstration led by his own teenage children Mike and Sally. After he tried to move the demonstrators on, the police arrived, which ended with him being taken in to the back of the Black Maria along with daughter Sally.
