Four Generations Celebrate Mrs. Kitty Weir's 80th Birthday and Mother's Day
EDITORS COMMENTS
. Mothers Day turned into quite a treat for Mrs. Kitty Weir as she celebrated her milestone 80th birthday surrounded by loved ones at a surprise party. The joyous occasion brought together four generations of her family, creating cherished memories that would last a lifetime. Mrs. Judy Grundy, accompanied by her three daughters - Mrs. Julia Crosland, Mrs. Maxine Jones, and young Rebecca Grundy - were all present to honor their beloved matriarch. It was heartwarming to witness the bond between the sisters' children; with three-year-old Charles from Armitage Bridge and ten-year-old Richard joining in on the festivities. Over twenty family members gathered at Honleys Old Silk Mill for this special celebration orchestrated by Mrs. Jones, who resides in Meltham. As they shared laughter and stories throughout the day, it became evident how deeply connected this family truly was. Mrs. Weir has led an extraordinary life raising five children and now boasts eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren spread across different corners of the world including Canada, Australia, and Germany. In this photograph captured on March 5th, 1989, we see Mrs. Weir surrounded by her loving family: Rebecca at rear left alongside Mrs. Jones, Mrs. Grundy, and Mrs. Crosland while youngsters Richard and Charles stand proudly beside Pierre AlainWeir at front.
