Stepping out in style are these young pom pom girls from Outlane Drum Majorettes, who were among winners in the Kirklees Championship. The fourth annual event, organised by the Yorkshire Carnival Association, attracted hundreds of majorettes from more than 40 troupes to Greenhead Park, Huddersfield. Kirklees chief executive, Mr David Ansbro, presented the prizes. The sections included drum, show and entertaining troupes. The other attractions included a bouncing castle and a variety of stalls and games. 21st September 1986
