Holly Bank School headteacher Mr Trevor Hodkinson accepts this £ 70 cheque from children in Norristhorpe Avenue, Liversedge. Eleven children - nine of them pictured - raised the money to help the £ 800, 000 Holly Bank appeal to move the school to Roe Head, Mirfield. The money is needed to adapt the new building. The children aged from six to 13, raised the money with a garden party selling bric-a-brac and cakes. The children involved were Jane Templeton, Karen North, Alison and Andrew Roome, Kate Ellis, Emma and Lisa Rhodes, Nicola and Stephanie Wood, Matthew Monkman and Kelly Slater. 28th August 1987
