Call of the wild... pupils of Stile Common Junior School performed a musical extravaganza at Newsome High School to raise money for the World Wildlife Fund. They are pictured with accompanist Miss Lindsay Grainger (left) and music teacher Mrs Barbara Lockwood who directed the show. Sixty pupils took part in the 90-minute musical, Yanamamo, which is based on the Brazilian rainforest and a Brazilian tribe. The musical, which was written three years ago for the World Wildlife Fund, has a conservation theme and a plea to preserve the worlds rainforests. 9th July 1990
