These Huddersfield Cubs made sure their commemorative flag was going places by flying it
These Huddersfield Cubs made sure their commemorative flag was going places by flying it high up on a double-decker bus. The Woodhouse pack took up a challenge to design and make their own flag to mark the 75th anniversary of Cubs worldwide - then fly it from an unusual place. Eight-year-old Gareth Firth came up with the winning design in the shape and colours of a neckerchief - and he was presented with a watch from his pack. Pictured with the bus and flag are the Cubs and Yorkshire Rider Controller Mr Younus Mumtaz. 12th June 1991
