Charity fundraiser PC Dave McSweeney went back to his old school for the first time in 25 years to collect this cheque for the Huddersfield Kiddicare Appeal. A total of £ 52 was raised by pupils at Paddock Junior, Infants and Nursery School who organised a disco, play, raffle and sponsored walk. PC McSweeney is pictured receiving the cheque from Charlotte Valvona and Nazmine Bibi, surrounded by some of the other big-hearted fundraisers. The Kiddicare Appeal raises money for the Candlelighters childrens cancer charity, Huddersfield and Holmfirth Downs Syndrome Association, the special care baby unit at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary, Killingbeck Childrens Heart Unit and Babies At Risk. 28th March 1991
