Eleven teams from seven groups - Golcar, Crosland Hill, Longwood, Slaithwaite, Crosland Moor and Newsome - competed in the event. The final was between Golcar and Crosland Hill and Golcar won for the fourth successive year. The team received the Fred Howarth Memorial Trophy from Assistant District Commissioner Jim Hunter. 26th January 1989
